About the role
Our client is looking for Sr. Project Manager with experience design and deployment of an OIMS solution working within PMO Governance to provide a disciplined framework for managing risks inherent in an organization's operations to protect people, the environment, and the community.
Start: October 13, 2025
End: April 30, 2026
Location: Remote / Calgary work hrs ( ADHOC travel may be required for key project phases)
Requirements This PM will apply RIGOR to the project management in the design, draft ,deploy and sustain of an OIMS- Operations Integrity Management System
- Planning, charter, risks, interdependencies, budget.
- People management, excellent leadership, strong Business Acumen, be a challenger.
- 10+ years of direct Project Management experience in increasing complexity and challenging projects.
- Demonstrated experience in Organizational business transformation, emphasizing streamlining processes, to provide a disciplined framework for managing risks inherent in an organization's operations to protect people, the environment, and the community.
- Skillful in succinctly conveying essential information to the right audience with professionalism and clarity for informed decision-making.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify problems, gather information and set and monitor a course of action.
- Diverse and creative solution orientation focusing on technical and process solutions for the financial business area.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills, including leading up, across and down.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Self-motivated & decisive with the ability to adapt to change and competing priorities.
- Competent and proficient understanding of various technology platforms, including ERPs like SAP and PeopleSoft.
- Proven strength in the application and interpretation of Project Management methodologies.
- Must be able and willing to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Industry-recognized certification in Project Management.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Experience design and deploying an Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS)
What You Will Do
- Lead the Design, draft, deployment and sustainment of a OIMS solution
- Facilitate definition of project scope, deliverables, and benefits in collaboration with Business Owners, Project Sponsor(s), Portfolio Manager(s), and Steering Committee members.
- Working with the project team and business owner, appropriately select an implementation methodology (agile, waterfall, hybrid) based on the scope of work, timeline, and budget.
- Estimate resources and budget required, adhering to strict financial and resource management practices during the project lifecycle.
- Plan and deliver complex projects to meet scope, budget, time, and business satisfaction while following the PMO methodology.
- Actively engage with business areas to ensure access to knowledgeable personnel and execution of project planning and organizational governance.
- Identify stakeholders and manage at varying levels within the organization, tailoring your style and approach to meet their needs.
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organization teams to negotiate and integrate project plans, secure commitments on deliverables, and resolve blocking issues.
- Identify, track, and manage project interdependencies to ensure optimal utilization of resources, ongoing risk identification and timely benefits realization on the project level.
- Ensure the project establishes and delivers on commitment and benefits and establishes metrics to identify areas of risk and allow planning for mitigation proactively.
- Diligently monitor and control project scope, budget & schedule throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential issues and mitigation plans.
- Develop and deliver status reports and Steering Committee presentations on a timely basis.
- Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations in the final Project Close report leveraging successful and unsuccessful project lessons learned.
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
