About the role

Safety Kleen, a Clean Harbors company located in Brantford, ON is looking for a Driver to join their safety conscious team! Responsible for the transportation of hazardous waste from a facility to a Company facility and/or an outside disposal facility adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and hazardous waste regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.)
  • Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
  • Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT), Hazardous Materials/Waste and requirements/regulations.
  • Works in and around tank farms and rail sites.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily logs, time sheets expense reports, dispatch and trip reports, vehicle inspection reports
  • Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess DZ license (manuel transmission required)

  • High School or equivalent

  • Experience: 3 years

  • Able to use hand-held mobile computer

  • Able to work with little if no direct supervision and an aptitude to complete assigned work

  • Able to make real-time decisions in the field
