About the role

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a Billing Support Clerk to work in our Toronto office. This position will appeal to candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below.

Please note this is a temporary 6-month contract. This role requires in-office attendance 4 days/week.

You will be focusing on:

  • Provide billing support for the professionals
  • Finalizing all pro formas that have been prepared for billing purposes
  • Liaise with Finance on all accounting exceptions (reversals/discounts), issues and errors
  • Resolve any billing issues that arise

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in a similar position, preferably in the legal or professional services industry

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field

  • Familiarity with flat fee billing

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients

  • Detail-oriented, resourceful and good analytical ability

  • Good judgment and high degree of professionalism

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively multi-task

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team

  • Possess a confident, proactive approach to work and thrive on working within a challenging legal environment while remaining calm under pressure Knowledge of SAP software would be considered an asset
