Position Summary:

Reporting to the COO, the Head of Retail and Wholesale is responsible for building, scaling, and owning NutraChamps’ retail and wholesale business across Canada and the US.

This role owns the full retail lifecycle.

Account acquisition.

Line reviews.

Pricing.

Promotions.

Forecasting.

Sell-in.

Sell-through.

You are accountable for revenue, margin, and execution.

A core part of this role is turning retail from “opportunity” into a predictable growth engine. That means disciplined forecasting, tight coordination with supply chain, and constant pressure on velocity and profitability.

You will work closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product to ensure retail commitments are realistic and executed flawlessly.

This role requires commercial judgment, retailer credibility, and the ability to say no when deals are bad.

You'll be working alongside a dynamic team of talented and collaborative individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (if this list looks exciting to you, click Apply Now):

  • Own and grow all retail and wholesale revenue channels.

  • Lead retailer negotiations including pricing, terms, promotions, and forecasts.

  • Drive line reviews, new SKU launches, and shelf expansion initiatives.

  • Monitor sell-through data, inventory levels, and promotional performance.

  • Partner with marketing to align trade spend, in-store execution, and launch support.

  • Report regularly on retail performance, risks, and growth opportunities to leadership.

  • Build scalable processes for retail operations as the channel grows.

  • Maintain pricing discipline and protect margin across all wholesale channels.

  • Identify underperforming accounts or SKUs and take corrective action quickly.

  • Build accurate retail forecasts and collaborate with supply chain to ensure fill rates.

  • Manage key retail relationships and act as the primary point of contact.

  • Develop and execute the retail expansion strategy across key accounts and regions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in retail or wholesale sales, preferably in CPG, wellness, or supplements.

  • Strong understanding of retail economics including margin, trade spend, and chargebacks.

  • High level of comfort with forecasting, data analysis, and financial accountability.

  • Clear communicator who can push back when needed.

  • Ability to balance growth ambition with operational reality.

  • Bias toward action and accountability.

  • Relentless focus on execution, not just relationships.

  • Self-directed operator who does not wait for instructions.

  • Strong Excel and reporting skills. You should live in spreadsheets.

  • Experience negotiating with major retailers and distributors.

  • Proven track record of owning and scaling national retail accounts.
