- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Implement and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, promoting accuracy, learning, and accountability.
- Lead or assist with special projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and M&A initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, or CMA designation strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations, and internal controls.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Why You’ll Love Working at Helm At Helm, we don’t just keep the world’s maritime operations running—we keep our people growing. You’ll join a company that values ownership, precision, and teamwork as much as it values profitability.
