• Prior e-commerce experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or other STEM-related field or equivalent work experience

What the job involves

• The Foundations Services team at Recharge builds and operates many core systems & services that power our platform
• We’re responsible for our event-driven implementations, integrations with partners such as Shopify, and the webhooks that connect Recharge to the broader ecosystem
• Each week our system handles more than a billion events
• Our Tech Stack: Python, Flask, GCP, Kubernetes, Dapr, Redis, MySQL/NoSQL, Terraform, Docker, Splunk, Chronosphere, Sentry
• You communicate clearly across channels – whether in person, over video, in chat, or through written documentation
• You engage actively in technical discussions, share context openly, and help teammates reach clarity. As a senior engineer, you coach others, contribute to design conversations, and articulate technical decisions and tradeoffs effectively
• You work closely with leadership, product partners, and your team to navigate challenges and constraints
• You understand that plans and markets change, and you adapt quickly while keeping progress steady. You focus on practical solutions that move the team and product forward, even when conditions shift
• Champion and embody our core values – accountability, collaboration, iteration, and attention to detail
• Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback
• Embrace rapid, iterative design, testing, and development to deliver value while continuously learning
