About the role

The Individual Insurance Solutions Department’s mission is to meet the needs of Desjardins Group’s Individual Insurance Manufacturing. It uses the latest technology to design and develop solutions for selling, issuing and administering insurance contracts. These solutions include digital distribution channels for members and clients, tools for the distribution networks and systems for the business sectors that comprise Manufacturing. You’ll be joining a team that works as a squad in agile/DevOps mode. As application delivery manager, you help direct material, time, IT and human resources on cross-sector projects to meet objectives on time and on budget. You analyze project feasibility and opportunities, develop action plans, define milestones and coordinate project teams. You supervise and coordinate contributors involved in delivering the application and technology component of innovative, large-scale projects. You ensure timelines and budgets are respected. You ensure availability of the IT platforms neede

  • Plan deliverables for the application and technology component. Estimate project costs, taking into account issues, complexity, practitioners and tie-ins with other projects.
  • Supervise and coordinate internal contributors involved in application and tech delivery. Ensure team performance and quality control and identify project-specific standards, methods and procedures.
  • Coordinate deliverables for the application and technology component. Ensure agreements, budgets and timelines are respected. Ensure performance and alignment with priorities.
  • Analyze risks and impacts for projects and develop strategies to address them to manage application and technological risk levels.
  • Work with the project manager to manage change requests, solution testing and implementation strategies for the application and technology component. Ensure availability of the application layer of infrastructure platforms.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant project experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience with suppliers and software packages
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Knowledge of IT environments
