About the role

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Specialty Production Associate for our ceilings plant in Oakville, Ontario! It's a permanent and full-time position (8h/ day), offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Safety and Accident Investigation: Participate in accident investigations and manage internal and external SAR activities.
  • Employee Program Reviews: Assist in managing model program reviews, VWI reviews, and improve housekeeping activities for employees.
  • Quality Collaboration: Work with quality and production departments to ensure compliance and handle quality complaints.
  • Production Planning and Coordination: Plan weekly schedules, assist with large projects, handle Oracle tasks, and develop and execute training plans for Specialty Operators.
  • Continuous Improvement: Manage metrics, create and review training materials, participate in Gemba walks, and lead improvement projects.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required by management and fill in as Team Leader or Supervisor if needed

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A track record of positive safety behaviors, attendance, attitude and work performance with a passion for learning new skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing and production function with a passion for training and developing others.
  • Previous experience in project management would be an advantage.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Interest in learning new digital tools.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
