The Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to problem gambling prevention. For more than 40 years, we have worked to reduce gambling risk by creating and delivering innovative awareness and information programs in Ontario and around the world. We work with priority populations, including youth, young adults, ethnocultural populations, and the public, to educate people on the risks of gambling, how to mitigate those risks, and how to access support. We work with industry, regulators and government to promote the adoption of improved play safeguards through best practices research, knowledge mobilization, standards development, and the RG Check accreditation program.

As a Brand Marketing Specialist, you'll be the key lead in coordinating projects across multiple digital and traditional platforms (social media, streaming, and beyond) while developing expertise in both B2B and B2C marketing, from event activations to targeted ethnocultural campaigns in multiple languages. Reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Communications in the interim, you'll be mentored by a passionate team while building your portfolio with nationally recognized campaigns that prevent gambling harm and protect communities - an exceptional opportunity for someone early in their marketing career to work on large-scale, purpose-driven campagins that make a real difference. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Brand Champion (20%)
- Become a brand expert and champion, leading brand review and maintaining guidelines across all channels, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a consistent voice, look, and feel, supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with Marcom team to develop and execute brand campaigns that optimize and strengthen brand presence across all channels.
- Own and establish a brand review process, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent brand exposure.
- Lead development of brand tool kit, creating a suite of foundational brand tools including presentations, templates, tools and collateral.
- Marketing & Project Management (35%)
- Lead the execution of marketing campaigns, collaborating with the preventions education team to develop high-impact campaigns across media, print and event-based channels.
- Drive execution of RGC’s Discovery Conference marketing plan and other organizational campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall marketing objectives.
- Support the triage of new marketing requests, working closely with stakeholders to ensure requests are clear, strategically aligned, and actionable.
- Execute and optimize development of emails and surveys within platform back-ends (Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey), ensuring seamless workflow, performance, and marketing touchpoints.
- Communications & Storytelling (30%)
- Draft, edit, and proofread content for emails, newsletters, and digital content, ensuring consistent brand voice and tone.
- Support the development of presentation content and campaign messaging that bring RGC’s mission to life.
- Contribute creative ideas and fresh approaches to strengthen storytelling across all brand touchpoints.
- Continuous Improvement & Admin Support (15%)
- Oversee marketing inboxes, responding to and triage of requests to ensure efficient follow-up and smooth cross-functional execution.
- Manage team financials including processing all billings, and overseeing finance approval and submission processes to ensure invoices are processed and actioned in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized file storage systems with clear naming conventions, version control, and licensing records to ensure easy access, consistency, and proper usage of creative assets.
- Stay current on emerging marketing trends, tools, and technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years working in a marketing role.
- Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Health or related field.
- Excellent communication skills and an advanced attention to detail.
- Strong ability to collaboratively work in cross-functional teams while being able to demonstrate flexibility and agile environments.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, multi-tasking and prioritizing, problem solving skills and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
