We are underwriters of risk, growth, progress and opportunity. We are a global team focused on disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation for all stakeholders, who care deeply about our impact on communities and the wider world.

Manager, Sales and Distribution

You will be responsible for executing territory sales and distribution strategy for a rapidly growing Accident & Health (A&H) business within Everest Insurance Canada. In this role, you will lead new business growth for Everest Accident & Health across a defined suite of products, including 24 Hour AD&D, Voluntary AD&D, Participant Accident (Sports, Volunteer, etc.), Occupational Accident, Travel (Accident, Medical, Security Evac), and RX Stop Loss.

You will work closely with the leadership team to develop and execute strategic action plans that achieve production targets. You will foster long-term relationships with internal A&H stakeholders and partner with the Everest Insurance Regional Team to build, develop, and sustain effective distribution relationships.

A key focus of your role will be building strong collaborations with Programs and Managing General Agents (MGAs), in addition to retail brokers. You will leverage distribution capabilities to support growth within the participant accident, occupational accident, and travel segments.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Group and/or Individual business segments to develop and achieve new business production goals for A&H products.
  • Acquiring new distribution partners to drive premium growth, with a primary focus on Programs and MGA/MGU relationships, while also managing retail broker and affinity partnerships.
  • Building internal connections across A&H and Everest Insurance to identify and source new partnership opportunities.
  • Evaluating new partnership opportunities that deliver strategic value and align with the core A&H product suite (AD&D, Participant Accident, Occupational Accident, Travel, RX Stop Loss).
  • Developing deal structures that drive growth and profitability for both Everest and its partners.
  • Leading contract negotiations with distribution partners and closing deals in a timely manner.
  • Developing and managing a robust pipeline of distribution opportunities and partners.
  • Managing the sales forecasting process for the Canadian territory.

Qualifications

You bring the following experience and capabilities:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of business development and sales experience.
  • Required experience within Accident & Health and the insurance industry.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing relationships with Programs and MGAs.
  • The ability to work independently with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience building client relationships; established contacts within the Canadian market are preferred.
  • The ability to understand partner value propositions and P&L/financials, with strong judgment in identifying win-win partnership opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, or as required within the territory.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations, persuasion, timing, and negotiation.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-management capabilities.
  • The ability to coordinate cross-functional internal teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Experience managing contracts, negotiations, and overseeing smooth day-to-day partnership operations.
  • Strong sales discipline, including metrics tracking and funnel management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Sales, and/or Marketing.

The base salary range for this position is CAD 125,000 - CAD 150,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
