About the role

The Full Stack Software Developer is a key member of AI4Eyes’ engineering team, working closely with Product, Clinical, and Technical Advisory stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will help transform validated concepts into reliable, production-ready software used in real clinical settings. You will build, optimize, and maintain core components of AI4Eyes’ clinical cloud-based AI platform, focusing on performance, reliability, and clinical alignment. The core platform and cloud infrastructure are already operational, with upcoming work focused on enhancements, optimization, and new web and backend services.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with technical, clinical, product, and research teams to translate requirements into production software

• Build, optimize, and maintain Angular applications and backend cloud services

• Maintain and improve C++ components for real-time image streaming and system integration

• Develop software services for AI-driven image and video analysis

• Evaluate and improve system performance and alignment with design goals

• Contribute to scalable, secure, and clinically safe system architecture

• Produce clear technical documentation to support long-term product evolution

• Your Qualifications

  BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (senior level an asset)

• Strong skills in Python and/or C/C++

• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Experience building and maintaining production systems

• Solid understanding of software architecture, version control, and team workflows

• Comfortable solving open-ended problems in a fast-paced startup environment

Bonus

• Experience with AI/ML, computer vision, or image processing
• Familiarity with healthcare, medical devices, or regulated software
• Performance optimization and scalable backend experience
