Manitoba Innovation and New Technology is seeking a Technical (BASIS) Lead to join the Enterprise Resouce Planning branch.

Duties:

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, the SAP BASIS Technical Lead oversees a team of SAP Basis administrators by providing mentorship, direction, and consistent communication. It ensures the stability and optimal performance of SAP landscapes through expert system administration, security management, and regular maintenance. With deep technical knowledge of SAP Basis, S/4HANA, ECC, and performance optimization, the position resolves complex issues and drives system reliability. It also contributes to project success by offering technical leadership, supporting implementations and upgrades, and helping deliver initiatives on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Experience in business analysis, system analysis and solution architecture of complex information systems.
  • Strong technical skills in SAP Basis administration.
  • Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS).
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and other SAP modules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills/troubleshoot with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams: build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, direct reports, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a leadership role responsible for directly managing other employees and team members.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Experience creating written reports and status updates on program progress.
