Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Director and the Manager, Capital Projects while acting as a liaison between internal and external individuals and the department of Facilities and Infrastructure.
- Coordinate Directors calendar, prepare reports, internal memos, and ensure all materials are ready for meetings and presentations.
- Collection and recordkeeping of existing space planning and utilization including, creating and maintaining accurate records of all sites and their inherent systems.
- Perform the role of Project Administrator in Lakeland’s project management system for Facilities & CMR (Capital Maintenance Renewal) projects.
- Research and input into the Alberta Infrastructure databases information of all buildings and site systems for all campuses of Lakeland College. Funding provided to Lakeland College for both immediate and extended facility renewal requirements is based on this data.
- Review and prepare quarterly variance reports
- Oversee NSC (National Safety Code), record keeping.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary Administration Certificate and five years’ related experience
- Strong working knowledge of MS office, Peoplesoft, and Netfacilities
- Strong communication, written, and oral skills
- Knowledge of AutoCad and BLIMS (Building & Land Inventory Maintenance System) would be an asset
- Must be a self-starter and work independently and make decisions based on established guidelines, standards, and precedent.
- Provide confidentiality and professionalism of information at all times
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with demonstrated ability to manage complex scheduling and logistics
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and understanding of NSC (National Safety Code) is considered an asset.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, permanent position governed by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) and will be based at the Vermilion campus commencing as soon as possible. Lakeland College offers a competitive salary of $53,210 to $67,057 per annum and a market-leading comprehensive benefits plan, with vacation, sick and special leave days starting at hire. The selected candidate's salary will align with their education and relevant experience.
