As the Director of Information Technology, you will oversee the entire IT function, combining excellence in traditional operations—such as network infrastructure, help desk services, cybersecurity, and cloud management—with a mandate to lead the company into the next era of digital transformation. You will champion the adoption of modern systems, including AI tools and advanced analytics, to create competitive advantages across departments. With a team of four skilled professionals already in place, this role demands both hands-on leadership and strategic foresight. Reporting to the CFO, you will work in close partnership with the executive team to ensure IT initiatives support and accelerate our broader business objectives. About The Role IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the long-term IT roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
- Serve as the internal thought leader on digital transformation, AI, automation, and business system modernization.
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team on technology trends and opportunities.
- In partnership with Business sponsors, translate business needs into clear IT initiatives including outcome measures.
Systems & Infrastructure Oversight
- Oversee all core infrastructure, including networking, servers, cloud environments (e.g. Azure), user access, security, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Ensure cybersecurity policies and practices are effective and continuously updated.
- Provide escalation support and direction to the network admin and general support team.
- Support the business in the evaluation, selection, and deployment of enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, project management tools, etc.)
Data & Intelligence
- Lead the internal data science function, ensuring alignment with broader IT strategy and strengthening data architecture, governance, and real-time analytics delivery.
- Oversee the continued development of our data infrastructure, including the data lake, integration hub, APIs, and Power BI platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and business relevance.
- Working together with FP&A, lead the development of data-driven tools and predictive analytics capabilities that support decision-making.
AI & Emerging Technologies
- Drive exploration, proof-of-concept, and adoption of AI tools (e.g., generative AI, workflow automation, NLP chat interfaces, etc.) across business units.
- Identify low-friction, high-impact AI opportunities in project management, design, customer service, procurement, HR, and more.
- Partner with business units to ensure AI tools are user-friendly, secure, and effectively integrated.
Team Development & Vendor Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performance internal IT team.
- Build capacity through thoughtful hiring, coaching, and process development.
- Manage IT vendors and consultants, negotiate contracts, and ensure value from third-party services.
Required About You
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Strong technical understanding of infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, data governance, and enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading or implementing AI or automation projects in a business setting.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven leadership in high-trust, multidisciplinary environments
Preferred:
- Experience in real estate development, construction, or adjacent industries.
- Familiarity with Microsoft stack (Teams, Power BI, Azure, Office 365, SharePoint).
- Experience with data warehouse architecture, API strategy, and SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks.
