We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Application Support Analyst to join our IT team in Langley, BC.
This temporary position is expected to last 6 months.
Reporting to the Manager, Application Support, you will be responsible for resolving incidents, identifying problems, and developing solutions in collaboration with the IT Help Desk, IT development teams, and technology vendors. In this role, you will analyze specifications and requirements, and work with senior technical team members to enhance enterprise and retail applications.
You will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting, resolving, and documenting production incidents while identifying recurring issues to drive continuous improvement and implement effective resolutions.
- Delivering world-class customer service to team members and customers experiencing system application issues.
- Participating in the problem management lifecycle, including defining problem statements, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing fixes and resolutions.
- Collaborating with business users, development teams, and vendors to diagnose and resolve application-related incidents and problems.
- Understanding business processes, system capabilities, and the impact of system outages.
- Preparing technical documentation, such as user manuals, technical support guides, help desk materials and knowledge base articles.
- Participating in system test execution and supporting user acceptance testing.
- Assisting in post-implementation validation.
You have:
- A post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in an application support environment.
- Knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, design, and implementation, preferably using Oracle.
- An understanding of basic IT infrastructure and networking.
- Experience with troubleshooting Windows and Web-Based applications.
- Familiarity with Linux, Scripting, PL/SQL, Control-M, and Java EE application servers such as JBoss is an asset.
- Experience with Java, C#, ASP.Net MVC, HTML5, JavaScript is an asset.
- Experience with integration tools like IICS or ETL is an asset.

- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A problem solver with strong analytical skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- An excellent communicator, both verbal and written.

Compensation Details:
$59,777.00 - $74,721.00
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
