About the role
Logistics Technician Sr. The Logistics Technician is responsible for coordinating, executing, and monitoring the shipment of manufactured goods to our customers and partners within the local region, across national borders, and internationally. This role ensures that all goods are shipped accurately, on time, cost-effectively, and in compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations. The Logistics Technician plays a key role in supporting production, customer service, and supply chain efficiency.

Prepare, schedule, and arrange shipments for local, cross-border, and international destinations.
Select and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
Verify freight rates, and monitor service performance.
Track shipments in transit and resolve issues such as delays, damages, or customs holds.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and process shipping documentation ( bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, CUSMA forms, export declarations, etc.).
Ensure compliance with customs, trade agreements, and international shipping laws.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipping transactions.
Work with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to ensure smooth cross-border transactions.
Inventory & Warehouse Support
Assist with order picking, packing, labeling, and staging goods for shipment.
Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality control.
Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to prioritize shipments and ensure order accuracy.
Communication & Customer Service
Act as the primary point of contact for shipping-related inquiries from suppliers, and carriers.
Provide sales with shipping updates, tracking details, and estimated delivery times.
Resolve delivery issues professionally and efficiently.
Continuous Improvement & Safety
Identify opportunities to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards when handling, packing, and loading goods.
Maintain knowledge of changing regulations, tariffs, and trade policies that impact logistics operations.
What You Bring Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations (manufacturing environment preferred).
Experience with domestic and international shipping processes and regulations.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with logistics and shipping software (ERP/WMS systems, carrier portals, customs software).
Strong knowledge of freight documentation and customs requirements.
Familiarity with Incoterms, HS codes, and international trade regulations.
Core Competencies
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities under time constraints.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
Working Conditions
Warehouse and office environment with exposure to shipping/receiving operations.
May require occasional lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
Flexible working hours may be needed to accommodate international shipping schedules and deadlines.
Able to work in an extremely fast paced environment at times.
