Recreational Support Worker- Part Time Application Deadline: 11 September 2026 Department: Outreach Employment Type: Seasonal - Part Time Location: Battle Centre/Day Services/Programs Reporting To: Devon Mahadeo Compensation: $18.50 / hour

Description Reena is actively recruiting passionate and dedicated Part-Time- Recreational Support Workers (RSW) for our Fall 2026 Community Outreach Programs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support individuals with developmental disabilities by promoting inclusion, independence, and personal growth through recreational and community-based programming.

This is an excellent opportunity for college and university students seeking part-time employment with potential for long-term growth within Reena. Term: October 18th, 2026 – December 13th, 2026. This is an existing seasonal role that is recruited annually to support fall recreation programming and services.

Schedule: Monday - 5:00 - 9:00 PM Tuesday 4:30 -8:00 PM Wednesday 5:00 - 9:00 PM Thursday 5:00 - 9:00 PM Sunday 11:00 AM -5:30 PM Usage of Artificial Intelligence We use AI-supported technology to help sort applications according to role-specific criteria, but all decisions throughout the hiring process are made by human reviewers.

Job Responsibilities · Assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in meeting their needs of daily living · Design and implement recreational based activities · Reinforce social and life skills · Participate in mandatory meetings and training

Qualifications Requirements Minimum age requirement: 18 years and older. Possession of a valid G license preferred, but not mandatory. Comfortable with driving Reena's van for transportation purposes (if applicable) Qualification Background related to child care, education, social work, psychology, social services, child and youth worker Self-motivated and willing to learn Flexible and adaptive to change Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with children and youth. Core Competences:

Reena was established in 1973 by parents of children with developmental disabilities as a practical alternative to institutions. In 1977, Reena began receiving funding from the Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services and since that time has grown to provide support for hundreds of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Reena offers a variety of services including: residential support, respite programs, counselling, therapy and advocacy.
