About the Role Pulse Chartered Professional Accountants is growing, and we are looking for a kind, reliable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Client Accounting Associate to support our client accounting work.
This is a great fit for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience who enjoys clean files, reconciliations, organized workflows, and learning in a supportive CPA firm environment.
We work with small businesses, e-commerce businesses, not-for-profits, charities, and purpose-driven organizations.
What You’ll Help With You may assist with:
Monthly bookkeeping Bank and credit card reconciliations Transaction coding and review Organizing receipts, invoices, statements, and backup documents Preparing client follow-up lists HST backup preparation Payroll-related accounting entries Accounts payable and receivable support Month-end support Preparing schedules for review Supporting year-end, audit, or CRA-related document requests For e-commerce clients, you may also help with Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, PayPal, Square, A2X, or similar tools.
Tools and Systems Experience with any of the following would be helpful:
QuickBooks Online Xero Excel or Google Sheets Dext or Hubdoc Shopify Amazon Seller Central Stripe, PayPal, or Square A2X Microsoft 365 or Google Drive Interest in automation, checklists, systems, and improving recurring accounting workflows would be considered an asset.

Careful and detail-oriented Reliable with deadlines Comfortable asking questions Able to follow checklists and instructions Clear in written communication Respectful of client confidentiality Pleasant to work with Interested in learning and growing over time Some bookkeeping or accounting experience is required.
Experience with Canadian bookkeeping, HST, payroll-related accounting, e-commerce bookkeeping, not-for-profit accounting, or CPA firm work would be considered an asset.
CPA students, accounting graduates, junior accountants, experienced bookkeepers, or individuals returning to accounting work are welcome to apply.
Hours and Pay This is a part-time role, approximately 10–20 hours per week to start, with the possibility of growing over time.
Compensation: $20–$30/hour, depending on experience and ability to work independently.
