As Marketing Coordinator, a typical day might include:
- Market and Competitor Analysis: Assisting with market research, technical research, and competition monitoring to identify target audiences, trends, opportunities, and threats
- SEO/SEM: Supporting SEO/SEM efforts by conducting keyword research, managing Google Ads and SEO campaigns, and monitoring results
- Content Creation: Planning social media content, including research, developing content calendars and caption writing
- Content Writing: Including biographies, blog posts, brochures, press releases
- Project Management: Coordinating cross-departmental projects, develops process improvements, and maintains efficient workflows
- Amalgamation tasks: Supporting rebrand and amalgamation tasks by ensuring brand consistency and redesigning documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Branding & Localization: Ensuring all marketing materials align with brand guidelines, adapting them for different regions, where applicable
- Analytics, Reporting & Optimization: Creating regular reports to track KPIs, monitoring the performance of marketing efforts and making recommendations for optimizations
- Merchandise coordination: Researching, ordering, and shipping promotional merchandise and managing inventory
- Awards: Coordinating and submitting award applications, gathering necessary information from stakeholders
- Website Maintenance: Updating websites and blogs, maintaining intranet content strategy
- Public Relations: Developing PR strategies and materials and conducts media outreach
- Internal Communication & Training: Keeping departments informed about marketing initiatives

Must haves:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in marketing
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations or related field, considered an asset
- Experience in the insurance industry, or similar field within finance and professional services
- Superior oral and written communication skills, with strong grammar and editing abilities
- Experience with professional social media platforms, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube
- Familiarity with marketing software and tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics, and Google Ads
- Familiarity with leveraging large language models (LLMs) (e.g., ChatGPT) to supplement tasks, with an understanding of best practices for fact-checking and ethical use
- Basic understanding of SEO and SEM principles; familiarity with tools such as Ahrefs or SEMrush

- Graphic Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite
- Project management software experience (Axis currently uses Smartsheets)
