Job Description

As the Maintenance Attendant, you have the authority to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture-perfect” guest experiences throughout the hotel. Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest’s first impression of the hotel. From facilitating the day-to-day maintenance of the property to collaborating with Corporate Office on major repairs, the guest’s first impression of our property is a powerful and lasting one.

Key Focuses

Maintains a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor during all guest encounters and responds appropriately to guest complaints. Maintains product knowledge of all room types, hotel layout, hotel amenities, and emergency exits. Understands various system requirements, such as mechanical, electrical, fixtures, and equipment. Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by investigating all maintenance requests. Documents and maintains detailed records on all physical equipment, life safety systems, and items requiring regular inspection. Maintains guest rooms, public guest space, and onsite amenities, including pool/hot tub and back-of-house areas, by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades, to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.

Experience/Passions/Education

Requires a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry concepts. Previous certification or hotel maintenance is an asset. Ability to compute and manipulate mathematical calculations. A minimum 1 year experience in a maintenance attendant role required.

Working Conditions

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, that requires continuous physical movement and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. This position will require periods of independent work and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
