Job Opportunity:

We are looking for a Shipper/Receiver to manage the handling, inspection, and storage of all products moving in and out of IAI.

What you’ll do:

• Shipping Job Duties

  • Create and/or verify all shipping documentation necessary for each shipment.

  • Collect, package and label all material designated for shipment.

  • Process all courier shipments using Courier software systems.

  • Process Sales Orders for shipping purposes using our computerized ERP system.

  • Manufacture wooden transportation skids and crating in preparation for equipment shipments in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Load all types of transport vehicles at dock level or ground level using pump truck or forklift in a safe and efficient manner within CTPAT guidelines.

  • Track all outgoing shipments to destination using carrier tracking systems and report on same.

• Receiving Job Duties

  • Unload all types of transport vehicles at dock level or ground level using pump truck or forklift in a safe and efficient manner within CTPAT guidelines.

  • Accept and stage incoming courier shipments.

  • Inspect all incoming products for visual damage.

  • Ensure hazardous goods have WHMIS Data Sheets.

  • Process incoming product in ERP system, label product and stage product in appropriate areas.

  • Disperse staged product into inventory or direct to projects as situation dictates.

  • Assist all internal customers regarding material handling.

• Additional Duties

• • Maintain department cleanliness.

  • Assist in any facility maintenance required.

  • Provide support to internal customers within scope of responsibilities.

What you’ll need:

• Minimum Gr. 12 or Equivalent

• Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in a shipping/receiving role

• MS Office Software (Word, Excel)

• Computer skills including ERP experience

• Ability to lift weights reaching 50lbs, carry weights reaching 40lbs, and push and pull weights reaching 100-150lbs

• Willing and able to acquire a Forklift Operator’s certification

• A willingness to invest your time, energy and skills in a mutually beneficial opportunity
