Hourly: $52.41-$114.65/hour; Per Three Credit Course: $7,947; Actual salary or hourly rate will be based on the number of credits and term of appointment according to the Collective Agreement.

The ENGU department is currently seeking to increase its list of qualified, part-time contract and substitute instructors to teach any or all of the following courses: basic literacy, developmental and college preparatory reading and writing skills.

WHAT IT TAKES
The ENGU department is currently seeking to increase its list of qualified, part-time contract and substitute instructors to teach any or all of the following courses: basic literacy, developmental and college preparatory reading and writing skills.
You will instruct students, facilitate learning and evaluate student progress in College courses. You will plan, organize and manage learning activities and resources, provide academic advice to learners and maintain quality learner‐centered instruction.
Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in a discipline that requires academic essay writing and a recognized teaching credential. In addition, they must provide a detailed record of relevant experience in adult education working in a classroom situation.
Additional Information
The English Upgrading Department in the Faculty of Language, Literature and Performing Arts is seeking to expand its list of instructors qualified to teach English Upgrading, which provides a pathway for students to meet the English requirements for entry to Douglas College programs.
