Overview The Canada Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) team is looking for a Manager, Partner Marketing & Commercialization to drive high impact marketing partnerships across - merchants, fintech’s, and government partners.

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded, self-starting marketer who thrives in ambiguous environments, brings strong project management discipline, and is energized by identifying needs and translating strategy into execution.

This role partners closely with sales teams, external partners, internal cross-functional stakeholders, and agency partners to develop and execute B2B, B2B2B, and B2B2C marketing initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes. The individual will help generate incremental growth by packaging Mastercard’s marketing assets and programs into scalable, partner-ready opportunities that create mutual value.

Role

  • Serve as the strategic lead for fintech , merchant, and government partner marketing programs, owning initiatives end-to-end from ideation through execution.
  • Partner closely with sales teams to drive pipeline and revenue through co-marketing initiatives, partner activations, and events that leverage Mastercard’s brand, sponsorships, and promotional platforms to support partner growth and deliver commercial impact for Mastercard
  • Develop compelling marketing narratives by translating Mastercard’s capabilities into clear, persuasive stories that support sales conversations, pitches, and proposals.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, proactively identifying opportunities, solving problems, and advancing initiatives with minimal direction.
  • Lead complex projects with discipline, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Develop clear, strategic marketing briefs and manage agency partners to deliver high-quality creative and campaign execution.
  • Champion the Mastercard brand, ensuring all fintech, merchant, and government partner marketing initiatives align with brand standards, voice, and values.
  • Contribute to broader cross-functional initiatives and enterprise projects as needed to support Mastercard’s strategic priorities.

All About You

  • Strong background in partner marketing, B2B marketing, sponsorships, account management, sales enablement, or similar roles.
  • Background in sales, business development, account management, or other revenue-facing functions is a must.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect marketing initiatives to revenue growth and measurable business outcomes.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguous environments, takes ownership, and drives initiatives forward independently.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic and creative thinker who can translate complex partner needs into clear, actionable marketing solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for sales and executive audiences.
  • Experience managing end-to-end programs and campaign budgets, including planning, spend tracking, and vendor or agency management.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments, acting with urgency, while balancing competing priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with payments, financial technology, commerce, or retail ecosystems is a plus.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in Canada, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive pay based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
