QAQC Lead

About the role

Please note that only candidates that are local to the Leduc/Edmonton area or willing to relocate will be considered. Relocation assistance will not be provided.

The QAQC Lead will report directly to the QAQC Supervisor. This role is responsible for equipment availability, reliability and standards.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for all safety equipment; Ensure manufacturers guidelines and/or NIOSH, CSA, OH&S Act and Regulations, or the authority of jurisdictions’ standards are met

  • Liaise with operations; review equipment requirements, seek to provide solutions, and ensure contractual agreements with clients are met

  • Assist with equipment requests within the scope of the department (and organization) ensuring they are met

  • Assist with the procurement of 3rd party rental equipment, PPE and Consumables requested by day-to-day Operations and Major Projects

  • Facilitate branch equipment inventories to ensure the asset management system data is accurate

  • Report all damaged and missing equipment. Estimates cost of repairs, including time and material

  • Understand proper use and limitations of applicable equipment

  • Follow all guidelines and preventative maintenance schedules outlined by the company and manufacturer

  • Ensure all equipment maintenance records are completed and filed in an organized manner

  • Communicate all implemented manufacturer updates and advisories

  • Perform and participate in the following: Alignment and Project Calls, Worker Audits, Facility Audits, Toolbox Meetings and ERP Drills

  • Verify corrective actions are completed in a timely manner resulting from deficiencies, Inspections and Investigations

  • Guarantee the orientation of new workers has been conducted in a thorough and effective manner

  • Ensure SDS Information and ERP’s are reviewed, hazard assessments are conducted and high risk work is mitigated for all reporting staff members

  • Participate as context expert for the development of training, policies, and procedures

  • Ensure all locations work in unison to achieve goals set by the QAQC Supervisor

  • Provide ongoing mentorship, support, training and leadership

  • Monitor the performance of Shop and Field Equipment Technicians

  • Ensure general upkeep of shop facilities meet company standard

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience with breathing air and gas detection
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • H2S Alive, CSO, First Aid and CPR
  • Successfully complete drug and alcohol screening
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Office 365
  • Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
