Data & Analytics 17: Salaries typically range from $84,698 to $112,931 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive. Location: Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, with a current requirement of two in-office days per week, increasing to three days per week in September 2026 (subject to change). This role will be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa. Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria. Team Overview: The Data and Insights team is seeking two individual contributors to strengthen its corporate and risk data assets. In this role, you will help enable faster, smarter, and better-informed decision-making across the corporation. What you will be doing: Identify the best information sources to meet user needs, and develop the queries and reports required. Create standardized and curated datasets using data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Databricks to support data analytics and dashboards. Analyze query and report outputs, conduct statistical analysis as needed, interpret results, and prepare clear reports that explain findings. Identify data integrity issues, recommend practical solutions, and maintain related documentation, templates, procedures, processes, and standards. Support all aspects of data lifecycle management, including business consultation, solution design, testing, and deployment. What we are looking for: Undergraduate degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. Minimum of 2 years (Level 16) of experience in business intelligence, reporting principles, and reporting practices and 5+ years of experience for level 17. Minimum of 2 years (Level 16) of experience in data analytics with large, complex datasets and 5+ years for level 17. Experience using SQL or Python for data transformation. What will make you stand out: Experience with data transformation tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SSIS, or DataStage. Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Cognos Analytics, or Tableau. Experience building complex semantic models for analytical reporting. Experience with data virtualization software such as Denodo. Bilingualism in English and French.
