Your New Role

As the Building Operator, you will take full ownership of building operations across an impressive portfolio, including office towers plus mixed-use light industrial and retail properties. This is not a position where you'll be sitting in an office waiting for direction – you'll be actively touring buildings, conducting system inspections, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

You will work closely with a supportive team, including an experienced Senior Building Operator and an eager-to-learn Maintenance Technician, while collaborating with property management staff.

What Sets You Apart

You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of commercial building operations experience, with a strong background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. More importantly, you are naturally independent and proactive – you don't need someone looking over your shoulder to ensure building tours are completed or systems are properly monitored.

Your expertise extends to building automation systems. You excel at follow-up and organization, understanding that persistence and attention to detail are crucial in property management.

You're a natural relationship builder who can provide exceptional service to tenants while maintaining positive working relationships across all levels. Your customer service orientation is complemented by your technical competence and ability to coordinate vendor relationships effectively.

This opportunity requires someone who can respond to emergencies within 30-45 minutes and must live in Winnipeg.
