First Level System Technologist (Permanent) (Halifax, NS) Expected Salary: $70,340 to $85,971
In determining the final salary, Babcock will consider a variety of factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and be presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.

In this role, you will:
- Interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) drawings to determine required updates to the customer's Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC) for the Victoria Class Submarine .
- Support development of Notification of Deviation/Defects (NDs) against parts and systems.
- Support development and processing of Statement of Quality Requirements (SOQR) for the Victoria Class Submarine.
- Work within a team dedicated to ensuring qualification data for First Level systems meets schedule and quality requirements.
- Work directly with Engineering and other internal stakeholders to ensure the required interface support is in place to meet program obligations.
The ideal candidate brings:
- A Diploma and/or Certificate in Engineering Technology in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical or Marine Systems, or equivalent experience and training.
- Registration as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) with the applicable provincial association, or eligibility to complete such registration within 12 months of commencing employment.
- 4+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), Industrial Financial Systems (IFS), System Analysis Program (SAP) or other data-management systems is considered an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (e . g. , Word, Excel, Power-Point).
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
