Clinical Research Coordinator
About the role
The HIV research group at The Ottawa Hospital is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator. Along with other members of the research team, the individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a number of both industries sponsored, and investigator initiated clinical trials.
Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
- Postsecondary degree or diploma.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical research environment and multi-center trial coordination.
- Evidence of training certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement -2 (TCPS-2) and the International Council on Harmonization – Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP)
- Evidence of training in Food and Drug Regulations, Division 5, and/or Device Regulations, as applicable
- Familiarity with requirements specific to investigator-initiated trials
- Phlebotomy skills and experience handling lab samples
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data and protocol requirements.
- Possess strong leadership, organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective decision making, organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of good documentation practices in clinical research.
- Highly motivated to initiate and complete tasks independently
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing priorities/workloads and maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field. RN preferred.
- Bilingualism
- Certified Clinical Research Professional is an asset (ACRP OR SOCRA)
Contract Details:
This is a 1-year full-time contract.
Salary: Min: $34.176/hr - Max: $45.567/hr
