About The Role

The Project Site Supervisor oversees and coordinates day-to-day production activities for assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role manages the physical build by coordinating labour, materials, equipment, and workflow across multiple trades, while acting as a key liaison between Production Management, Project Management, Leads, and production employees.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Oversight

Oversee daily production activities for assigned projects, ensuring work progresses according to schedules, priorities, and quality standards. Execute and monitor the physical build from active production through completion. Identify production bottlenecks, delays, or workflow disruptions and implement corrective action or escalate issues to management as needed. Track project progress against milestones and proactively address schedule impacts.

Labour & Trade Coordination

Coordinate workflow across multiple departments and trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fairing, painting, and finishing. Ensure work is properly sequenced to minimize delays, conflicts, and rework. Assign daily work priorities and ensure labour, tools, materials, and equipment are available to support project needs.

Leadership & Team Supervision

Provide direct supervision, leadership, and support to assigned production employees. Make day-to-day operational decisions to keep projects moving efficiently. Monitor productivity, performance, attendance, and workmanship. Promote accountability, provide coaching, and foster a respectful, collaborative work environment.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with company safety policies, safe work procedures, and regulatory requirements, including WorkSafeBC. Conduct safety observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviours immediately. Report incidents, near misses, injuries, and safety concerns promptly.

Quality Control

Ensure work meets required workmanship, design, and quality standards. Conduct inspections, identify deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly. Promote high-quality workmanship and minimize rework.

Communication & Reporting

Maintain regular communication with Production Management, Project Managers, and Leads regarding project progress, labour needs, and production issues. Provide updates on milestones, delays, resource constraints, and participate in planning meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in production, construction, shipyard, marine, or related trade environments. Previous supervisory, foreman, lead hand, or similar leadership experience preferred. Strong understanding of multi-trade coordination and project sequencing. Experience in complex custom-build, refit, or project-based environments is considered a strong asset. Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical specifications is preferred.

Work Environment

Primarily based in active production and project environments. Requires standing, walking, climbing, and working around tools, equipment, and active work areas. May require overtime or schedule flexibility based on project demands.
