At DXC, we harness the power of technology to deliver essential IT services that help our clients modernize operations and drive innovation across their entire IT infrastructure. Our services span the Enterprise Technology Stack and include business process outsourcing, insurance, analytics and engineering, applications, security, cloud, IT outsourcing, and modern workplace solutions.

Our DXC Insurance Services support clients in optimizing and transforming operations, reducing costs, and building agile channels for growth. Leveraging our people, technology, and best practices, we improve and automate complex business processes across middle and back offices—while enhancing customer experience transformation.

As a Business Analyst – wmA, you will play a pivotal role in driving life insurance system conversions and modernization for one of our major insurance clients. You will partner with both business and technology teams to define conversion requirements, map legacy data, and support the successful transition from Mainframe-based systems to modern Cloud platforms.

This role demands a strong understanding of life insurance products—particularly Universal Life and Traditional Life—along with hands-on experience in Vantage/wmA (Wealth Management Accelerator). You will bridge business needs with technical execution, ensuring that all converted data, product rules, and configurations align with business objectives, operational accuracy, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze legacy system structures and define business and functional requirements for data conversion and modernization.
  • Support Mainframe-to-Cloud migration initiatives, ensuring accurate translation of business rules, product configurations, and policy data into modern architectures.
  • Conduct detailed gap analysis between legacy and target platforms, identifying business and system impacts, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Define and document data mapping specifications, conversion logic, and validation rules to ensure seamless data migration into wmA or other target systems.
  • Partner with technical teams to support conversion design, ETL processes, and data reconciliation, ensuring high data integrity throughout the conversion lifecycle.
  • Provide deep subject matter expertise in wmA configurations, including TRAD product setup, Product Wizard, AVM, and conversion processes.
  • Assist in developing testing strategies and performing validation of converted data, ensuring alignment with business expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with architects, developers, and QA teams to support modernization roadmaps, integrating new Cloud-based components with existing insurance systems.
  • Document post-conversion processes, create user reference materials, and provide input for future-state operational models.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline conversion, data validation, and Cloud adoption activities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Conversion Analyst in the life insurance domain.
  • Hands-on experience with Vantage/wmA (Wealth Management Accelerator)—mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Universal Life and Traditional Life insurance products.
  • Proven experience supporting data conversion and migration from Mainframe to Cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of TRAD product configuration, Product Wizard, and AVM in wmA.
  • Expertise in defining data mapping, validation, and reconciliation processes for large-scale conversions.
  • Familiarity with mainframe systems (COBOL, DB2, JCL) and their interaction with modern APIs and Cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of modernization methodologies, gap analysis, and legacy-to-modern architecture transitions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting insurance system modernization, digital transformation, or Cloud migration programs.
  • Understanding of indexed product structures, regulatory compliance, and actuarial data considerations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative delivery frameworks.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • The selected candidate will be required to report to the nearest DXC office.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with offshore teams (including India) across time zones for key conversion and modernization activities.
