About the role
Okanagan Veterinary Hospital is growing, and we’re looking for a veterinarian to join our experienced team in beautiful Kelowna, BC! Come join us and enjoy our newly renovated hospital, including a new dental suite, additional exam rooms, dedicated cat ward and upgraded dog runs.
We primarily see cats and dogs, but for those interested, we do see some pocket pets and even kangaroos and capybaras! Whether you enjoy consults or surgery, we can offer a caseload that keeps you engaged and growing in your career. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is a great fit for our team - collaborative, compassionate, maintains a sense of humour and is eager to be part of a hospital that values quality medicine and a positive work environment. Our RVT’s and support staff are skilled and knowledgeable, giving our veterinarians the support they need to provide great care to our patients.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- Base salary $100,000 to $120,000 plus quarterly production bonuses
- Health/Dental benefits
- RRSP contributions
- $2000/year CE
- Uniform allowance & staff pet discounts
- Relocation assistance
- Annual CVBC and CVMA dues
- Paid time off
- Formal mentorship program for new grads, including wet labs and much more
- VIN and CoVet
Our current schedule is a combination of weekdays and Saturdays. We plan to expand our opening hours to be open later into the evenings and Sundays. There is no on-call after-hours work required, giving you the freedom to explore Kelowna and the surrounding Okanagan.
