Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant at Cedarbrae Medical Center. The role involves various administrative tasks such as phone etiquette, using medical terminology, providing administrative assistance, communicating with patients and staff, and delivering excellent customer service.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant in a medical clinical setting.
Proven ability to independently support a team of 3 to 4 healthcare providers. Exceptional multitasking, scheduling, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload. Must have hands-on experience in booking hospital procedures and surgeries. Must be fully proficient in using hospital systems, including Epic. Hands-on experience in both OBGYN and Psychiatry specialties is mandatory. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Fluency in English, Hindi, Urdu, and Gujarati (required) Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant is mandatory. Proficiency in Telus PS suite Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with a strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security. Full-time availability (40 hours/week) with flexibility to accommodate overtime based on clinic needs. Saturday availability is required, particularly to assist with psychiatrist services.
