Vice-President Account Executive – Commercial Risk (Mid & Large Market)

The salary range for this position is {$ 90,000- $ 147,100}. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

What the day will look like
As an integral part of the mid & Large market vertical, our new colleague will:
- Manage and grow a client portfolio of commercial risk clients, across a broad range of industries
- Educate clients and colleagues on insurance matters
- Act as a liaison between client, insurers, and Aon branches (if necessary), handling questions and general inquiries and preparing correspondence
- Identifying specific client and prospect needs and developing innovative solutions
- Ensure all procedures, internal client documents and correspondence are in compliance with Aon audit standards
- Reviewing and revising insurance program in conjunction with the client to ensure complete and appropriate coverage
- Coordinating/leading the strategy for the account renewal and the ongoing requirements during the year, including the marketing processes and negotiations with underwriters
- Managing and being responsible for the 150-day Renewal Process including preparing the renewal report, presenting to client for approval, obtaining the binding order and reviewing policy documentation and delivering to client in a timely manner
- Managing all information needed to take an application, prepare quotations, calculate premiums, bind coverage and prepare documents for billing
- Assisting with correspondence, client insurance summaries, promotional material, reports and presentations
- Collaborating with brokers and/or contacting underwriters directly to negotiate the best terms and conditions, premiums and coverage
- Ensuring and compliance with all Aon information/documentation storage standards

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Over 10 years of experience in commercial insurance (Experience in Manufacturing , Power, and Renewable energies are an asset)
- Post-secondary education in business, insurance, risk management, or equivalent years of work experience in a relevant industry.
- Ability to bridging the gap between small businesses and large enterprises
- Growth mindset, strong sales, and new business acumen with proven negotiation abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; adept at engaging with clients, underwriters, and colleagues across all levels of seniority
- Strategic thinker adept in navigating complexities of the mid-Large market segment effectively
- Proficient in digital tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to quickly learn Aon-specific software
- RIBO licensing or professional designations in (CIP, CRM, FIIC) are an asset.
