Job Title: Senior Analyst - Total Rewards

Salary Range: $72,000 - $84,000
About The Role
As a Senior Analyst, Total Rewards, you’ll play a key role in analyzing, designing, and administering Pet Valu’s compensation, benefits, and employee equity programs. You’ll provide data‑driven insights, support guiding HR and business leaders on Total Rewards decisions, and enhancing our HR technology—specifically Workday. This role blends analytical work with cross‑functional partnership, ensuring our programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with business strategy.
What You’ll Do
Compensation & Compliance
- Conduct market analyses, job evaluations, and internal equity reviews to support fair, competitive compensation decisions.
- Support pay equity and pay transparency requirements through data gathering, reporting, and analytics.
- Model and communicate the impact of changes to merit cycles, STIP, and LTIP programs.
- Prepare and validate compensation calculations, including bonus accruals, merit recommendations, and minimum wage analysis.
- Participate in annual and ad‑hoc compensation surveys and evaluate survey outcomes to inform program recommendations.
Benefits Program Support
- Analyze benefits plan design, model cost scenarios, and contribute to recommendations that strengthen competitiveness and financial sustainability.
- Conduct trend reviews and benchmarking to guide data‑driven updates to benefits programs.
- Support resolution of escalated employee benefits inquiries to ensure accuracy and a strong employee experience.
Employee Equity Program Support
- Administer equity programs end‑to‑end, including participant account setup, status changes, and grant allocations.
- Prepare accurate calculations, reporting, and communications for HR, Finance, and Legal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for LTIP participant inquiries and ensure strong governance across all equity‑related processes.
HR Technology, Reporting & Optimization
- Support and enhance Workday configuration for compensation, benefits, STIP, and LTIP.
- Troubleshoot configuration issues in partnership with HRIS and external consultants.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support HR, Finance, and executive decision‑making.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and use AI responsibly.
Advisory & Collaboration
- Provide consultative guidance to HR Business Partners and leaders on Total Rewards programs.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and Store Operations on cross‑functional initiatives.
- Support communication materials that enhance clarity, understanding, and change management.
- Mentor junior team members on compensation principles, analytics, Workday configuration, and program administration.
- Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Interprets complex data, identifies trends, and recommends evidence-based solutions.
- Technical & Functional Expertise: Demonstrates deep knowledge of compensation, benefits, and HR systems; stays current with external trends and legislation.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and consistency, identifying discrepancies and delivering high-quality results.
- Customer Focus: Provides high-quality support to internal stakeholders and enhances the employee experience.
- Collaboration & Influence: Builds strong relationships and communicates recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Execution & Prioritization: Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with precision and accountability.
What You Bring
- 4–5 years of experience in compensation and benefits within a corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy.
- Experience with HRIS systems — Workday preferred.
- Understanding of compensation design, benefits programs, equity plans, and related legislation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
