We are looking for a Family Support Team Lead in Red Deer, to provide family-centered, trauma-informed assistance to a parent/guardian and their child in one of our Family Preservation program homes. By strengthening parent capacity while ensuring the youth's safety, stability, and healthy development, you'll blend supported-parenting coaching with infant/child care and case coordination.

Work Schedule: Days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays

Your Typical Day

  • Create a predictable and culturally responsive setting to safeguard the guardian's decision-making
  • Plan and facilitate daily routines with the guardian
  • Schedule, prepare for, and attend appointments
  • Complete basic developmental screenings
  • Implement supported-parenting plans and safety plans
  • Provide coaching on meal prep/planning and bottle hygiene
  • Document accurate critical incident reports, daily logs, case notes, and medication records in the case management system
  • Keep the program home clean and orderly
  • Maintain grocery and inventory supplies while managing weekly menus
  • Participate in case conferences, clinical review, and supported-parenting sessions
  • Provide daily updates and lead shift exchanges

What You Bring To The Table

  • 1+ years verifiable experience directly supporting disabled adults with complex needs
  • Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Disability Studies or Social Work preferred
  • Ability to stay calm and consistent in high-stress situations
  • Utmost respect for stakeholders such as Elders/Knowledge Keepers, kin, schools, clinics, and the parent/guardian
  • Unmatched coaching and mentorship skills
  • Superb execution of documentation for maintaining records and completing forms

Must-Haves

  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s Licence, 10-Year Alberta Driver’s Abstract, and Alberta auto insurance with $2 million liability in your name
  • A clear Child & Youth Intervention Records Check with the Government of Alberta

  • Comprehensive benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision, Employee and Family Assistance Program)
  • Paid training and career development — because your growth matters!
  • An inclusive, diverse, and supportive culture where we work together to better serve our clients
