About the Project

Reporting to the Vice President, theQuality Directordevelops, implements, and sustains a quality vision and strategies for the organization in order to maintain manufacturing performance and its strong reputation in the North American market.
In this capacity, the incumbent designs, structures, implements, and maintains a high-performance Quality Management System across all company activities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a competent, high-performing quality team and ensure its supervision.
  • Develop a strategy to implement a culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
  • Define a quality roadmap, including the deployment of quality management processes and tools aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate in the implementation of training programs and ensure that quality requirements are integrated.
  • Ensure compliance with, and continuous improvement of, the Quality Management System to meet industry and certification requirements.
  • Work closely with other members of the management team to support business operations and achieve organizational targets.
  • Collaborate closely with After-Sales Service teams to support customer needs.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement processes aimed at preventing and effectively resolving quality-related issues.
  • In partnership with the Supply Chain group, develop supplier strategies, audits, and follow-ups to ensure incoming parts meet quality requirements; implement appropriate corrective actions with suppliers when deviations occur.
  • Ensure clear visibility and effective communication of quality system deviations and key indicators at all organizational levels; ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken across departments to continuously improve quality.
  • Draft and update the Quality Policy; coordinate ongoing efforts to maintain ISO certification.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Profile Sought

Education: University degree, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing organization, including a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership or people management role.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong sense of accountability with a results-driven and action-oriented mindset.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and ability to direct the development and implementation of operational processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and persuasion abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and advanced analytical thinking.
  • Effective communicator and facilitator with strong influencing skills; recognized team player.
  • Availability to travel outside the province (approximately 10%).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English, as over 80% of suppliers communicate in English.
  • Membership in a quality assurance association is considered an asset.
