This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 3 February 2026 and closing at 11:59 pm on 10 February 2026.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The EEG Technologist plays an essential role in the diagnosis of brain diseases, injury and tumours and is responsible for: performing EEGs and other electrocardiography testing, documenting, equipment monitoring, cleaning and maintenance; and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered EEG Technologist with current registration with the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (C.A.E.T.);

  • Previous EEG testing experience;

  • Current BCLS;

  • Ability to interpret and evaluate clinical data and information;

  • Proven basic knowledge about the nervous system, the human anatomy and physiology;

  • Proven ability must be able to work accurately and productively under stress;

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Effective keyboarding skills;

  • Demonstrated computer knowledge of Meditech system;

  • Proven good organizational, prioritization and time-management skills;

  • Knowledge of infection control principles and practices;

  • Must be physically able to perform duties of lifting, bending, sitting walking and prolonged standing;

  • Must have a satisfactory performance record;

  • Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; and

  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service education sessions.
