Salary: $62,000 - $65,000 annually

Nature & Scope

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Support & Inclusion, the Manager, Support and inclusion play a key leadership role in creating welcoming, equitable, and inclusive school age care programs for children and families across the Lower Mainland. Supporting over 70 before‑ and after‑school Kids Clubs, this role provides hands‑on consultation, training, and resources for staff at all levels to ensure children with diverse needs can fully participate and thrive. The manager builds organizational capacity by developing and delivering inclusion training, coaching teams through observation and feedback, and creating practical tools, guidelines, and resources. This role supports inclusive programming by providing consultation and guidance throughout the onboarding process for children with additional support needs. Working collaboratively with families, staff, management, and community partners, the manager oversees the development and maintenance of high‑quality care plans and fosters a strong, organization‑wide culture of inclusion grounded in equity, respect, and best practice.

Major Responsibilities**-** in this position, you will**:**

  • Provide organization‑wide leadership on inclusive practices, supporting over 70 Kids Clubs across the Lower Mainland to ensure equitable access for children with diverse needs.
  • Deliver direct program consultation, coaching, and guidance to Kids Club staff, Team Leads, Supervisors, and management to support inclusive before‑ and after‑school care environments.
  • Build staff capacity through the development and delivery of inclusion training, workshops, resources, and practical tools, including observation, feedback, and ongoing mentorship.
  • Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal inclusion processes, policies, procedures, and best‑practice standards to ensure consistency and quality across all programs.
  • Guide the onboarding of children with additional support needs by providing consultation, coordinating supports, and ensuring programs are well‑prepared to meet individual needs.
  • Oversee the creation, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of high‑quality care plans that reflect best practices in inclusion and support children’s success in programs.
  • Enhance and support inclusion‑specific roles through content development, auditing of practices, and continuous improvement of tools and resources.
  • Oversee inclusion planning and processes for break programs, ensuring continuity of support and alignment with organizational standards.
  • Build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with families and community partners, including Supported Child Development, to strengthen coordinated support for children.
  • Foster a strong, organization‑wide culture of inclusion grounded in equity, respect, and collaboration, modelling inclusive leadership in all aspects of the role.

Qualification**-you bring:**

  • Post‑secondary education in a related field, with preference given to Child and Youth Care, Social Work, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3-5 year of relevant experience working directly with or supporting children with neurodiverse and diverse support needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive, professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including families, staff, and community partners.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, collaborating with, or providing guidance to staff teams is considered an asset.
  • Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Social‑Emotional Learning (SEL), and self‑regulation are assets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and respectfully across diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
