About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a range of tools and machinery to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various metal parts according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine welding specifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and fabricate components
- Operate plasma cutting machines, press brake machines, and other manufacturing machinery
- Conduct rigging operations and assist with crane setup for heavy lifting tasks
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring devices
- Perform machining tasks as needed to prepare parts for welding or assembly
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and quality specifications
- Assist in ductwork fabrication, assembly, and installation when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, tools, and fabrication processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Experience with machining operations using calipers and other precision measurement tools
- Ability to work with assembly components including ductwork or structural steel as needed
- Familiarity with schematics related to manufacturing or construction projects
- Valid certification in welding (such as AWS certification) is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
