Senior QE Automation (Retail/Ecommerce)

location: Canada (Remote) Duration: 12+ Months

Requirements

8+ years of QA experience with strong expertise in web application testing. Hands-on experience testing Unified Front End (UFE) or modern JavaScript-based applications. Strong understanding of React.js, Angular, Vue.js, or similar front-end frameworks. Must have Retail/Ecommerce domain experience. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or WebDriverIO. Strong API testing experience using Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or similar tools. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience using defect management and test management tools such as Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, or ALM. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for UFE applications. Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web platforms. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality releases. Validate front-end integrations with backend services and APIs. Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard automation frameworks. Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release activities within Agile teams. Analyze production issues and support root-cause analysis efforts. Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and testing methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience validating responsive web applications across multiple browsers and devices. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Exposure to performance and accessibility testing. Experience working in distributed or nearshore teams.
