About The Role
The Insights team within Guideline is focused on developing and delivering high value data products and insights that drive client engagement and revenue across multiple sales teams. The Data Scientist, Insights, will report to the Chief Insights & Analytics Officer. We are looking for a candidate with a strong command of data analytics, data modeling and forecasting techniques to join our team.
This role is hybrid and requires 2 days per week in our Toronto office.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights for clients. Build and maintain client facing products including but not limited to predictive models for market trends and revenue forecasts for publicly traded companies. Create visuals and narratives around data to shape conversations around trends within the data Work with domain experts to develop features and test hypotheses relevant to equities and the overall advertising market. Partner with product, data engineering and sales teams to embed insights into solutions that align with customer needs Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance in all analytical work. Stay informed of market trends, financial regulations, and modeling advancements relevant to advertising.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, statistics or direct experience required
3-5 years of experience with building data models and forecast Proficient in Python coding, data analytics and machine learning AWS, Snowflake experience a plus Strong written and oral communication Understanding of the financial markets a plus Knowledge of the Ad/Media buying industry a plus
