What You Will Do:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop design solutions, including space planning, concept and schematic design, and technical drawings.
• Project Management Skills to assist with budgeting, scheduling, managing client expectations and team communication.
• Knowledge and understanding of Building Codes and applying them.
• Must have a strong technical interior design understanding and experience in reviewing interior design documents.
• Preparation of Project and Construction Documents:
• Prepare documentation for the selection, specification, procurement and installation of furnishings, artwork and equipment, including detailed layout drawings and schedules.
• Assist Project Manager and Construction team during the Contract Administration phase as needed.
• Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and consultants.
• Attend site meetings, conduct site visits, collaborate with contractors and vendors in reviewing site deficiencies and installations.
• Coordinate with project consultants, suppliers and team members to deliver project milestones.
• Research, gather, recommend, and present to the team appropriate finishes and furnishings that capture the functional, aesthetic, environmental and budgetary requirements of the project, understanding how texture, light, colour and other factors interact to create an environment.
• Must be adept at multi-tasking, with exceptional organizational skills.
• Have experience working on multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met.

What You Will Bring:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in interior design from a recognized University or College
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Interior Design industry, with team experience for large scale projects
• Knowledge of Building Code regulations is essential
• Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, colour and materials
• Able to work in a team and is a team player.
• Armed with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Access to a vehicle

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $80,000
