About the role
Cameco has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly skilled group in support of the corporation’s financial reporting. Working within a team of professionals, you will undertake various types of analytical and reporting activities and collaborate with stakeholders from various corporate departments.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in the monthly close, including the completion of monthly schedules and reconciliations.
- Execute financial analysis supporting both internal and external disclosures.
- Assist in the delivery of ad-hoc deliverables for stakeholders as they arise.
- Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required, including proactively participating in the identification and development of efficient, value-added processes.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field;
- Five to eight years of relevant work experience;
- Canadian Professional Accounting designation (CPA);
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
- Strong knowledge of consolidation and accounting principles (IFRS).
Recommended:
- Ability to prioritize assignments, manage deadlines and organize work independently;
- Experience using ERP software (SAP S/4HANA) and consolidation systems (Group Reporting);
- Proactive approach to potential improvements;
- Approach that focuses on the details with the ability to consider the bigger picture; and
- Results oriented, proactive with a mindset of continuous improvement.
