What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Developer to join our innovative Digital & Client Platforms technology team. As a key technical leader, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performing, and secure software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and lead the adoption of best practices in software engineering to meet evolving business needs.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of complex, scalable software solutions across front-end and back-end systems.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to development teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and establish development best practices.
- Work in an Agile team environment which is fast paced, fun and collaborative.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and design effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize technical issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying risks, technical debt, and areas for architectural enhancements.
- Lead joint technical design sessions, ensuring alignment between teams, projects, and business objectives.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and tools, recommending and implementing innovative approaches to software delivery.
- Oversee DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to maintain high-quality software releases.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 7+ years of software development experience with at least 3+ years in a lead or senior engineering role.
- Expertise in full-stack development, with strong proficiency in Java, Node.js and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React/VueJs.
- Proven experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, SQL Server).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (Git, GitHub, Jenkins), and automated testing frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of system design, object-oriented principles, and software architecture best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive complex initiatives to completion.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice to Have
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, or other messaging systems.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience in cloud (Azure, OCP4)
- Background in financial or enterprise-grade software development.
- Understanding of security best practices and implementing secure coding techniques.
