About the role
As part of the Trade Spend and Deductions Team, you will be managing a set of customer accounts to provide timely and accurate validation and claims creation of trade deductions. Daily interaction with Customer Service Representatives, Sales as well as Customers and Clients.

Daily management of all trade deductions and Post audit deductions, as assigned

Includes monitoring deduction status, header types, reason codes and days outstanding
-
Accurate validation -using Excel functions- with complete supporting documents as per SOP
-
Daily monitoring of open deductions to ensure timely clearing
-
Weekly review of individual and team goal to achieve month end targets
-
Engage customers, client, and sales where required to resolve discrepancies
-
Support investigation of trade related promotions as a result of deductions taken by customers
-
Source backup documentation (debit notes and POS data when available) for deductions taken
-
Monitor performance metrics for deductions
-
Collect outstanding unauthorized deductions that customer agreed to repay and support the customer collection process
-
Escalate deductions issues to Team Manager and Sales team
-
Supply customer specific TPM reports and analysis as required
-
For continuous improvement, address promotion setup accuracy versus customer deduction and promotional programs
-
Be familiar with costing sheets, deal sheets, contract, promotions for assigned customers
-
Work on special projects as required
-
Backup support for team members as required
-
Work closely with the Trade Spend Analysts for claims accuracy for assigned customers
-
Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience required.

Previous CPG or food industry experience with major retailers
-
2 – 5 years customer deductions experience: bill backs, price protections, allowances.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent organizational and time management skills
-
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs of the business
-
Resolve issues and fixing the root cause
-
Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment
-
Must be positive, passionate, and willing to make a difference
-
Knowledge of Trade systems an asset (SAP, TPM, MEI, AFS, Exceedra}
-
Strong Computer skills (MS Office, Excel Intermediate-Advanced)
