About the role

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Commissions Data Analyst supports the day-to-day projections, monthly and fiscal year end reporting, as well as Inforce book of business performance tracking. The role will also provide administrative & operational support for the Insurance commissions and support head office staff for ad-hoc reporting requests**.** This role will also expend into proactively analyzing data and provide reporting to management that will lead to improved performance and business growth.

What will you do?

  • Maintain and update advisor profiles, including Family Office Services (FOS) members on current database
  • Update life insurance licensing records for accuracy and to ensure it’s compliant with regulatory standards
  • Manage commission contracts on database based on licensing and various business sources
  • Update insurance commission rates and validate policy projections
  • Investigate and escalate discrepancies in commission data
  • Process Salesforce case (transactional requests) from field advisors
  • Support fiscal reporting cycles and assist with commission projections
  • Provide Inforce blook of business data reporting (identifying trends) to Sr. Management
  • Contribute to ongoing data cleanup and quality assurance initiatives

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • 3+ years data analyst experience; have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability with a track record of result
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is a must
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear and professional communication skills for working with internal teams and field advisors

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Knowledge of financial services or insurance commission processing is an asset
