Job Description
We are seeking a Chef Manager for L'Oréal's food service department who can help us deliver exceptional customer service and outstanding culinary experiences. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a strong focus on team development, culinary excellence, safety protocols, and customer engagement.
The Chef Manager will also play a key role in meeting budget targets and executing company-driven programs effectively
LOCATION: L'Oréal Downtown (1500 Robert-Bourassa Blvd, Suite 600, Montreal, H3A 3S8)
START DATE: Immediately 2025
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, daytime hours

Job Responsibilities
The chef-manager oversees all culinary and administrative operations in the cafeteria, ensuring the quality of meals, staff management, compliance with hygiene standards, and the profitability of the service.
- Organize, cook, and manage the entire meal production process.
- Supervise and coordinate the kitchen and service team, promoting teamwork and a positive collaborative atmosphere.
- Plan catering events and their execution.
- Ensure the high quality of food services and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize food and labor costs.
- Placing orders
- Employee management
- Coordinating hourly employee payroll
- Developing and enforcing various job descriptions
- Ensuring the implementation of management, health, and food safety and hygiene programs
- Implementing various marketing plans
- Conducting monthly inventory
- Administrative tasks
- Being able to respond to operational needs
Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or catering
- Diploma in catering management/dietetics/vocational diploma in institutional cooking or equivalent experience
- Experience as a chef/sous chef
- Experience in catering is a real asset
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Have very good leadership skills
- Certificate in hygiene and safety from MAPAQ
- Ability to design balanced menus adapted to a corporate environment
- Mastery of various culinary techniques (hot, cold, cooking in large quantities)
