Some of what you will do:
The Sr. Analyst, Strategic Sourcing will serve as the data and analytics lead for the procurement function, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and governance of procurement data while delivering insights, reporting, and tools that drive effective sourcing strategies and measurable savings.
The Sr. Analyst will partner closely with the Strategic Sourcing team, Procurement Operations, and Finance to support category initiatives, supplier negotiations, and enterprise-wide reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels
Specifically, You Will:
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports to track spend, supplier performance, and savings.
- Design and deliver regular reporting packages to leadership and Finance, ensuring alignment with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to support strategic sourcing projects, business cases, and executive decision-making.
- Partner with sourcing managers to prepare negotiation packages and category strategies.
- Serve as a knowledge hub to document and preserve sourcing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and reporting efficiency improvements. Communicate insights in a clear and compelling way, including preparation of presentations for senior leadership.
Some of what you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Math, Finance, or other STEM related field.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret and communicate insights from large data sets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and SQL a plus.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint for preparing clear, executive-level presentations.
- Understanding of procurement processes, spend analysis, and savings tracking.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; able to partner effectively across functions.
- Attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality.
- Ability to challenge assumptions constructively and pressure-test recommendations.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in procurement analytics, FP&A, data management, or business intelligence
- Exposure to indirect categories (IT, Marketing, Facilities, Professional Services) an asset.
- Experience with procurement-specific analytics and KPIs preferred.
