What You'll do
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adjust as needed
- Manage the saw controls and ensure that accurate cut lengths are set per the work order
- Ensure that quality requirements are met and understand the relationship between cut speed and cut quality
- Understand the difference between types of alloys and tempers, and ensure that they are separated properly on different racks
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure that all parts meet quality standards
- Able to distinguish between defects such as die lines, flatness defects, off-square products, etc.
- Assist in other areas on the line, such as packing, as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
- Responsible to follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Can Art Company Policies
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a machine operator capacity
- Previous experience in heavy manufacturing is an asset
Required Skills
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Experience with EPICS is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks
- Must have basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
Working Conditions
- Plant Environment
- Twelve hour rotating continental shift
- Exposure to loud noise and heat
- May be required to lift up to 50lbs
- Overtime as needed

Can Art Aluminum Extrusion Canada Inc. is a privately held North American based extruder of standard and custom aluminum profiles. Through the continuous support and dedication of our ownership, management, employees, suppliers, and most importantly our customers, Can Art has grown from a single press operation in 1988 to the multi plant, multi press operation that we are today.
We have built a reputation for uncompromised quality, responsive service, and a commitment to growth in the markets we service across North America. From initial inquiry to delivery Can Art has the knowledge, capacity, and capability to handle your requirements and exceed your expectations.
Built in 1995, our 110,000 square foot corporate head office and plant is located in Brampton, Ontario. In 2000 we added a second 190,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Windsor, Ontario (near Detroit, Michigan). This plant enhanced our ability to better service the North American market. In pursuit of vertical integration, in 2012 we added a state of the art 45,000 square foot anodizing facility in Mississauga, Ontario.
