Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative to join our team as a Construction Scheduler. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction planning and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules, coordinating timelines across project stakeholders, and supporting the successful delivery of capital projects through accurate forecasting and progress tracking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules for multiple capital and tenant improvement projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, site superintendents, consultants, and contractors to define sequencing, durations, and milestones
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule risks, delays, and resource conflicts
  • Analyze critical path activities and recommend mitigation or acceleration strategies
  • Track schedule performance against baseline and produce variance reports
  • Coordinate activities that correlate between construction sites and planning as it relates to procurement, permitting, and scheduling of construction work
  • Prepare schedule reports and dashboards for leadership and project stakeholders
  • Support budgeting and planning processes by aligning timelines with project phasing
  • Maintain documentation of schedule assumptions, changes, and impacts
  • Participate in project meetings to provide schedule look ahead insights and forecasting

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • 2–7 years of scheduling experience in commercial, residential, or mixed-use construction
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methods, and project lifecycles
  • Experience supporting multi-project portfolios or developer-led projects is an asset
  • Ability to analyze data, anticipate risks, and communicate impacts clearly
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations, development, and finance teams
  • Knowledge of construction practices, contracts, and permitting processes preferred
